Exciting project helping our Islington residents into work

Start date: 24/01/10 End date: 11/04/11 Number of places:

A new project has been launched supporting Islington social housing residents, to make the best use of local services to find work and training.

The Islington Employment Mentor project is a partnership between Circle 33 Housing Trust, Hyde Northside Housing and a number of other housing associations. It will help our residents who are16 and over, out of work and on benefits to access the right employment and training services to meet their needs.

Diane Taylor started in post in December 2009 as the outreach worker attached to the project. Employed by Hyde Housing, Diane will work closely with staff from each of the partner organisations, offering support at local venues and housing offices. Diane has extensive experience of providing employment and training advice to clients and is excited about her new role helping social housing residents to achieve their potential through training and employment.

Islington already has many organisations delivering training and help to find work that it can often be difficult to know what is available or how to access it. Diane will provide support you to achieve your goals by offering practical on going help and advice on local services in Islington to suit your needs.

If you like to know how this project can help you please contact Diane Taylor, Outreach Worker, Islington Employment Mentor Project on 07918 057543 or Diane.taylor@hyde-housing.co.uk
