Beko recalling faulty fridge freezers

Please check any model made between January 2000 and October 2006.

Fire Safety 450 The electrical appliance manufacturer Beko is issuing recall notices for certain models of fridge freezer, following a blaze in a tower block in Bermondsey in South London - believed to have been caused by a faulty model.

Fire chiefs are urging people to check if they own particular models(*) made between January 2000 and October 2006. They are particularly concerned about fridge-freezer fires, as they develop rapidly and produce very toxic smoke.
