Moving from supported to general needs housing

Circle 33 Housing Trust provides supported housing for people who need help to maintain their tenancy. Some people eventually move on to our general rented properties.

However we have a limited supply of bedsits and one bedroom flats and because of this we can't always guarantee to house residents moving on from supported housing.

When a supported resident is ready to move on, their support worker will help them explore the various options open to them. This will include: the move-on process, furnishing the property, dealing with services and utility companies, bills and budgeting, daytime activities, support networks and, if the resident is not moving on to shared accommodation, the emotional impact of living alone.

Residents are also encouraged to use the website www.yourmovenext.co.uk which includes a guide outlining various options. These include private rented accommodation, advice on housing outside London, other supported living schemes and general rented schemes provided by registered social landlords, like housing associations and local councils.
