As of January 2010, Sir Robin Young is the new Chair of Circle. Sir Robin has enjoyed a successful career in the highest echelons of Government, spanning 31 years. Sir Robin was Permanent Secretary at both the DTI and DCMS. As Head of Economic and Domestic Affairs at the Cabinet Office, Sir Robin advised former Prime Minister Tony Blair on a range of domestic and economic issues. As Undersecretary for the Housing Directorate, he was vital in passing the legislation that allows Councils to transfer housing stock and responsible for overseeing the Housing Corporation. Since 2005, Sir Robin has pursued a portfolio of non-executive and advisory positions, many operating on the cusp between private and public sectors. Sir Robin will take Circle to the next level and help deliver its core mission to enhance people’s life chances.

Mark Rogers, Group Chief Executive Mark Rogers, Group Chief Executive
Mark, who is Group Chief Executive of Circle, has over 20 years' experience in the housing sector. He was Director of Customer Services at Circle 33 before being appointed Chief Executive of Nene Housing Society in Peterborough. He joined Anglia Housing Group as Chief Executive in 2003. Mark has a BA Honours in Law and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Simon Braid is the new Chair of the Circle Group Audit Committee and joined the Management Board in June 2010. Simon was KPMG’s Head of Charities and Social Housing until his retirement in 2009 and has over 20 years experience in the Social Housing sector, which led to him being invited by the Housing Corporation to Chair the Ujima inquiry in 2008. He chaired the ICAEW Social Housing sub-committee and was also a member of the Social Housing SORP Working Party. Simon is now a part time Anglican priest in Kent.

Tania Brisby Tania Brisby
Tania spent over 18 years in investment banking at Samuel Montagu, NatWest Group and Deutsche Bank. Since 2001, she has worked in consultancy services, both as former director of Cardew Group, a City financial public and investor relations firm and currently in her own corporate advisory practice. In the public sector, she was seconded to manage a European Commission restructuring and privatisation programme in Eastern Europe in the 1990s and has been advising the NHS on dispute resolution as a member of the NHS East of England Competition Panel since 2009.

Robert Burgin Robert Burgin
Robert has wide experience as an executive and non-executive director in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. He is an independent Member of the Tri-Services Armed Forces’ Pay Review Body, appointed in 2004 by the Secretary of State for Defence and is also currently Chair of Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Environmental Management, and a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Jane Clarkson Jane Clarkson
Jane is a Non-Executive Director of a leading friendly society and chairs their investment committee. She is also a magistrate and has a wide range of experience as an executive and non-executive in the private and public sectors. She is a member of the Institute of Risk Management and sits on the Circle Group Audit Committee.

Murray Foster Murray Foster
Murray is a portfolio Non-Executive Director with a wide range of involvements in regeneration and education in the East of England region. His directorships include Renaissance Southend Urban Regeneration Company, Essex Chambers of Commerce and Chair of the Board of Governors at Westcliff High School for Girls. Murray was Leader of Southend-on-Sea Unitary Council until 2007 and previously worked for NatWest/RBS managing specialist business relationship banking teams within South Essex. Following a career change Murray moved into Town Centre Management in mid Essex. Murray is the Chair of South Anglia Limited.

Jane Gurney-Read Jane Gurney-Read
Jane is Chair of Circle Living (formerly Commercial Services Circle Anglia). Jane’s career background is in HR for various large multi-site retail companies including BHS, Heals and latterly Debenhams where she was HR Director from 1998 to 2004.

Baroness Maggie Jones Baroness Maggie Jones
Maggie Jones was previously Director of Policy & Public Affairs at Unison and is a Life Peer in the House of Lords. She is Chair of Circle 33 Housing Trust and also a Board member of Shelter, Deputy Chair of the School Food Trust and previous Chair of the Empty Homes Agency.

Brenda Reynolds Brenda Reynolds
Brenda is the resident Chair of Roddons Housing Association. Brenda has lived in Fenland for thirty-seven years with her family, and passionately believes in helping to create a community spirit. She joined March's residents' association in 1997, and has remained an active voice of the community ever since. “I joined Roddons Board to ensure that the tenants had fair representation with the people that were providing their housing and their views were taken into consideration. My aspirations for the future are that the tenants are happy and for Roddons to go from strength to strength."
