More about the Russet Homeowners' Evening

...Thomas Berry from Circle Living gave a brief run through of the Circle Living complaints process, and information on how Russet homeowners could get more involved in the services they receive trough Mystery Shopping, the Circle Living Service Improvement Panel, and FUSS groups.

Russet Home Owners 350Denise Reeves, Assistant Director, Business Improvement spoke about plans for developing a contact centre to improve communications and would like residents to help shape it.

Terry Chatfield, Head of Asset Management spoke about the caretaker scheme which is currently being piloted in Longmead in Tonbridge and Barming in Maidstone. The caretaker role is new to Russet but quite common in other organisations and they deal with bulk rubbish, monitor the estates for cleanliness and appearance, look after the sheltered schemes, change light bulbs and carry out minor repairs. Although the pilot only started in April, it is already proving to be a real success and hopefully can be rolled out to other areas in the future.

After the presentations there was the opportunity for everyone to grab a bite to eat and a quick drink before chatting with staff about any issues they had, discussing the plans for the contact centre and caretaker schemes or finding out more information about resident involvement.

The evening was enjoyed by staff and customers alike, staff were pleased to have the opportunity to meet with their residents and answer their questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Residents found it helpful to discuss issues with individuals and said it was “Well worth attending the Homeowner Open Evening”

We hope that we will see even more of you there next year.
