What is Telecare?

Quite simply, it’s help at a touch of a button. At Invicta Telecare our unit is easy to install and works alongside a telephone.

Mercian Customer Services Advisor 300 If you or your relative falls, is taken ill or just needs friendly re-assurance, we are there to help every minute of the day or night. If the button worn on the wrist or as a neck pendant is pushed the unit will automatically connect to our experienced Telecare team.

If there is a problem we may contact a chosen friend or family member who holds a key and ask them to pop in to check, or if necessary, call the emergency services.

We also offer a range of detectors that can sense risks such as smoke, floods, gas and if a saucepan has been left on the hob. If triggered it sends a message through to our Telecare team who can help with the problem before it becomes serious.

It’s not intrusive in anyway – its just there if needed. With Telecare everyone can get on with their lives, relax and enjoy life to the full.

An alarm unit, pendant, monitoring service and keysafe is just £3.35 per week.

Protecting your home

Telecare is also an invaluable and cost effective way of protecting your home whilst you are out. Nowadays many homes are protected by a burglar alarm but quite often if triggered even the most expensive and sophisticated alarms just ring with no-one taking much notice. This means that the burglars can enter your home undisturbed.

We offer easy to install battery powered Infra Red (PIR) sensors which you can fit in your home and activate if you go out like a normal burglar alarm. If the beam is broken, any time night or day, a wireless signal is sent through to our Telecare team.

If we do not hear you say your chosen password to let us know you are there and it is a false alarm, we will listen in via your alarm unit microphone. If we hear any movement or voices we will contact the police on your behalf, or if all is quiet we will let your chosen contact know it may have gone off by mistake and ask them to check for you.
