Old Ford has scooped two ‘What House? Awards for their development of 200 studios, one and two-bedroom apartments in Eastside, Bow E3.

The development, which was undertaken in joint partnership with Inspace Homes, was presented with a Silver award in the Best Starter Home category and a Bronze award in the Best Brownfield Development category. Located on the edge of the Olympic Zone, Eastside offers 200 studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments set across five buildings, which are named after the trendy Manhattan neighbourhoods; Washington, Greenwich, Chelsea, Soho, and Lower East Side.

Eastside received high praise from the judges, who commented: “This development has lifted the area, brightening up what was once a foreboding, near-derelict 1960s social housing estate. The developer has made good use of the space, creating modern apartments that feel light, airy and of a good standard.”

Howard Hughes, Development Director, Circle Anglia, said, “We are delighted that Eastside has won this award. This development completes the regeneration of this part of Bow which Old Ford has undertaken."
