The Eastside Youth Centre was set up by Old Ford Housing Association and is aimed at young people aged between 13 and 16 from across the community in Bow.
Most of the activities take place Monday to Thursday from 6pm until 9pm but there are some that take place during late afternoon, such as the job club, the youth committee and the under-13s club.
The evening activities include arts and crafts sessions and music workshops in a studio. There are also street dance lessons in our special dance area. Outdoor football is also a popular activity while budding actors and film producers enjoy getting involved in our weekly drama classes.
Sexual health clinics, which are run by the local primary care trust, take place a couple of times a week. These have been particularly successful as they give young people an opportunity to find out information and advice in comfortable surroundings.

Sharon Fairclough, Youth Co-ordinator Centre Manager at Old Ford, said: "Eastside Youth Centre is such a great place and we are really pleased that young people are coming along and getting involved.
"A lot of the youth centre members also come along to use our drop-in facility. This gives them a place to meet with friends, watch TV or play computer games. It is very popular and open to people of all different ages and backgrounds."
