Circle Anglia gives evidence at the Decent Homes inquiry

We were delighted to be asked to give oral evidence at the Communities and Local Government Select Committee inquiry on Decent Homes, alongside the National Housing Federation and Hanover Housing Association. We gave our views as set out below:

House Of Commons 450

  • We believe that the Decent Homes programme should continue and has improved thousands of lives of social housing tenants
  • Funding must continue to be available especially in the current economic climate when organisations have limited resources / less subsidy from private sales
  • Believing the standard to be quite low, Circle Anglia goes beyond Decent Homes requirements. This includes extensive resident engagement and improvements in the wider community including excellent estates investment

You can watch the full inquiry at the Parliament TV website.

In addition, the group has submitted responses to a variety of consultations including the allocations of housing, the Tenants Services Authority standards, how local authorities are regulated and the Big Care Debate. To view our submissions visit our public affairs pages.
