Improving standards locally
Our partner Wherry Housing Association has been selected to deliver a Tenants Services Authority (TSA), Local Standards pilot in Terrington St Clement near Kings Lynn. Wherry will deliver a ‘common standard of Neighbourhood and Estate Management’ together with the three other social landlords who operate on the estate.
Wherry has already carried out extensive work in this area tackling Anti Social Behaviour and nuisance issues through extensive resident engagement. The new project will involve the creation of a "neighbourhood vision" using a common standard, set of indicators with resident engagement at its core.
A safer, cleaner, greener charter will be developed to assist in identifying and clarifying service provider responsibility. The development of the standard will encourage more partnership action as well as encouraging resident and business participation and responsibility.
The pilot will commence in April 2010 and the final results will be published in October 2010.
