Mercian is delighted to be working in partnership with the YMCA, Birmingham City Council and the Birmingham Homes & Communities Agency, to achieve high quality, supported homes for vulnerable, formerly homeless young people in Birmingham.

Phase 1 of the development will see the development of 83 self-contained flats (75 x 1 bed and 8 x 2 bed properties) providing accommodation to formerly homeless people. The intention is to provide a facility not just for the residents, but for the whole community and for homeless people from across the city.

Phase 2 will provide these facilities, which will include; a day nursery, lounge, internet café, gym and shops. Fundraising is currently taking place to raise money needed to complete this phase. To find out how you can help, visit http://www.birminghamymca.co.uk/donate/index.html.
