The first meeting for Phipps Bridge, New Close and Cherry Trees was held on Monday 29 November 2010 where many residents from each area attended. Moses Salisu, Chair of Harland Estate Residents Association, was one of the Guest Speakers who spoke of his own experience in his community and inspired residents to take the next step in getting more involved. Ann Moyies, former resident chair of Merton Priory Homes Board, also spoke on how important it is now for residents to come together as a community and make a difference.
The meeting was very positive and residents were keen to set up a steering group with the aim of forming a new Residents Association. Meetings will be held monthly and will be open for all residents to come along and have their say!
