Gardening Service
Merton Priory Homes has launched a new Gardening Service for our Older, Disabled and Vulnerable tenants who have difficulties maintaining their gardens.
Tenants will be charged £7.16 an hour or part hour for the service. Minimum charge 1 hour. Tenants would have to pay on receipt of an invoice.
The Gardening Service is for tenants who are:
- Aged 60 or over.
- Registered disabled or has a disabled person living with them.
- Vulnerable.
- Not in rent arrears.
Works that will be carried out include:
- Cutting grass
- Edging of lawns and beds
- Shrub pruning
- Hedge trimming to a maximum of 2 metres high
- Path clearing
- Weeding of lawns and flowerbeds
- Planting of bulbs, shrubs and large plants supplied by tenants
- Removal of old plants and shrubs
Works that are NOT included in the service are:
- Tree felling and pruning
- Cultivation of uncultivated areas
- Major garden clearance
- Rubbish clearance
- Making new garden beds
- Clearing non-garden rubbish
- Landscaping
- Maintenance of paths
- Maintenance of walls and fences
