Cycle Marking events

From time to time, our Neighbourhood Wardens hold cycle marking events on estates.

Cycle marking event is a means of creating awareness and prevention of cycle theft and it gives the owner a chance to register their bike. This means that, in the event that the bike is stolen and recovered, then Police will be able to trace the rightful owner.

The Neighbourhood Wardens have got cycle marking equipment and ensure that the cycles get registered with bikeregister.com, which then provides the owner with a log book. Once registered, each cycle has a unique ID number and a distinctive sticker that shows the bike has been registered, which discourages potential thieves.
