Phipps Bridge neighbourhood wardens

The Cricket Green Ward (or as most know it Phipps Bridge) covers a large area and most days the warden uses a pushbike to get around. It has five main areas, the central area being made up of Council flats with one block being some twenty floors high. The other areas are made up of private, Council and Housing Associations properties.

Part of the warden's remit is to provide a high visibility patrol in the area to help reduce anti-social behaviour, crime and the fear of crime, improving the local environment by reporting environmental crime such as graffiti, and fly-tipping and generally improve the quality of life for local residents.

The warden helped run a Junior Warden scheme with Benedict Primary School (Year 5 Willow Class) from April to July 2009.

Your local neighbourhood warden has been awarded the London Ambassador for the 2012 Olympics
