Handyperson Service

Merton Priory Homes has launched a new FREE Handyperson Service for our Older and Vulnerable General Needs and Sheltered Housing Tenants. The only requirement is that tenants supply their own materials.

HandypersonThe service is available to:

  • Tenants aged over 60.
  • Tenants who have a disability.
  • Tenants who are living with someone with a disability.
  • Tenants who are considered vulnerable.
  • Tenants who live in Merton Priory Homes Sheltered Housing
  • Tenants with no arrears.

The Handyperson Service will include:

  • Fitting extra locks , spy holes, and chains to front doors
  • Fitting draught excluders to windows and doors
  • Fitting curtain track
  • Fitting blinds and flooring
  • Assembling single items of flat pack furniture
  • Fitting shelves
  • Ease and adjusting internal doors and painting
  • Fitting battery operated smoke alarms
  • Hanging pictures and ornaments
  • Replacing light bulbs
  • Small carpentry tasks
  • Small areas of painting and decorating
  • Repairs to garden gates -latches and hinges
  • Treating fences and garden furniture with wood preservatives

Tenants can access the Handyperson Service by:

  • Contacting us on the general enquires number below centre.
  • Coming into reception at, The Grange.
  • Emailing us at:Merton Priory Homes email
  • Being referred internally by a member of MPH staff
