Gardening Service
Older, disabled and vulnerable tenants will benefit from a new Gardening Service service, which allows them access to a gardener for only £7.16 per hour, as part of MPH transfer promises. Booking the Gardening Service is simple, and tenants simply supply any new plants or materials needed then sit back and let the gardener take care of the rest. Tenants will be asked for feedback on the service, to assist in shaping it in the future.
Garden Tools Loan Service
Residents of MPH can now also borrow garden tools under the Garden Tools Loan Service to help them with the upkeep of their gardens whilst watching their budgets. The service is entirely FREE and available to all residents. The tools are loaned for one week and are delivered and collected on Fridays and Mondays. The service is a part of the promises, made when the homes transferred to MPH, and was launched within the first 100 days of the organisation launching.
Handyperson Service
Another new service being delivered as part of the promises made by MPH is the launch of a new Handyperson Service, which will help the elderly, disabled or vulnerable to complete the bigger jobs around the house that remain the tenant’s responsibility. This might include installing draft proofing, curtain track, blinds or shelves adding new locks or spy holes to the front door, assembling an item of flat pack furniture or hanging the tenant’s pictures and ornaments.
Sheltered Handyperson Service
The Sheltered housing tenants have also been given their own handyperson service. One handyperson will be dedicated to serving only sheltered housing tenants, completely FREE to our tenants. The service is available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday to assist the tenants in a range of ways, such as hanging pictures or ornaments, changing light bulbs or tap washers or doing small painting, plumbing or carpentry jobs.
Mobile Skip Service
Another new service is the Mobile Skip Service. This is a Spring/Summertime evening household bulk collection service. This new service will help ensure that residents who live in blocks are more easily able to dispose of bulky household waste, such as an old sofa, but as an added benefit this will reduce fly tipping and increase bin store capacity.
There will be a new street property home collection service to follow in the coming weeks which is also part of this key promise to residents.
Bulk collections - Street properties appointment service
