Fire Fighter for the day
On the 17th February MVHA teamed up with Surrey Fire and Rescue for “Fire Fighter for the day”. The event was organised by MVHA’s Community Warden Adrian Birtchell and Community Development Officer Michelle McSorley. It gave ten pupils form the Weald school, Capel the opportunity to take part.
The Children learnt about the fire appliance and the life saving equipment the fire fighters’ use. They also watched a series of DVDs about the dangers of fire within the home and had the experience of watching a partnership rescue drill carried out with the Ambulance Service.
