Residents tell MVHA what they want!

Residents young and old from MVHA homes across the district joined staff and Board members at the Resident Involvement planning day on Saturday 19th November, 2011 in Dorking.

Over 30 residents took part in workshops on:

  • Improving Communications with residents
  • Supporting more residents to get involved
  • Improving services & performance

MVHA's Resident Involement Team received valuable feedback from residents who told them to:

  • Improve communications to residents across all service areas
  • Simplify Resident Involvement activities
  • Produce a plain language and user friendly guide to Resident Involvement.

The Resident Involvement team and MVHA will use this feedback to shape how we do Resident Involvement as well as improve communications across the organisation in the new year.

Children who attended the event were not left out, enjoying the entertainment and learning exciting circus skills as well as magic tricks. The planning day was a successful event and we hope to see more residents at future Resident Involvement events and activities.

Resident Phyllis Barber commented about the day “enjoyable and educational.”
