What is Choice-based lettings?

Choice-based lettings is a way for you to apply for rented accommodation, giving you greater choice.

Every week a list of all housing association homes available in the district is advertised on a dedicated website, in libraries, Citizen’s Advice Bureau office and in the offices of the district council and Mole Valley Housing Association.

Applicants will be assessed according to their personal circumstances and housing need and will then be advised of their banding position. You can search for a home you like and register your interest, either by going on the website or by calling Mole Valley District Council (MVDC). At the end of the week, MVDC will consider all expressions of interest and forward nominations to the appropriate Landlord.

The Landlord will check the details they receive and contact the first eligible nominee to provisionally offer the property.
