Behind with your rent

It is a condition of your tenancy that you pay your rent in full and on time. If you do not, your rent account will be in arrears and you risk action being taken against your tenancy. The association realises that problems can arise due to illness, an emergency or some other good reason. If you should have difficulties paying your rent contact a member of our Income Team immediately. They will discuss the matter with you and ensure that you receive all the help to which you are entitled. It may also be possible to agree that you can pay off your arrears by instalments. If you do not explain what your difficulties are we cannot take them into account or offer help and advice. PLEASE NOTE: - If you receive Housing Benefit this is usually paid in arrears – most commonly 4-weekly in arrears. Please therefore look at the balance the last time Housing Benefit was paid onto your account to get a more accurate balance.
