Tenant Services Authority Local Offers

The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) is the body that regulates landlords like MVHA. In 2010 the TSA introduced a new framework of national standards for landlords to meet as well as local offers for local standards that had to be agreed with residents.

Tsa We worked with residents to choose three areas for our local offers:

• Anti-Social Behaviour
• Decent Homes Standard
• Lettable Standard (for letting empty homes)

Residents were invited to join working groups to help us develop the offers. The groups compared our services with other landlords, and worked with staff to revise, review and agree standards for the three areas. They also set how resident satisfaction should be set and monitored.

All three offers were approved by MV Resident Involvement Group (RIG) on 8th February 2011 and MVHA’s Board on 17th March 2011. The offers begin on 1st April 2011.

You can download a copy of each local offer here:

Decent Homes Local Offer (1.1 MB)
Lettable Standard Local Offer (610 KB)

Residents have asked to be trained to monitor the offers so that they can carry out independent checks to make sure we are ‘doing it right’. MVHA is supporting residents to do this by providing independent training. If you would like to get involved in any of the monitoring groups, please contact Jumai Gukas from the resident involvement team on 01306 505530.
