Residents' Federation

The Residents' Federation is an umbrella body for OFHA Residents' Groups. The Residents' Federation’s role is to act as a consultative body providing feedback on behalf of residents and Residents' Groups to OFHA on all aspects of service delivery, repairs and maintenance, standards of performance and refurbishment and development programmes.

The Residents' Federation will:

  1. Promote resident participation and diversity
  2. Support resident groups
  3. Provide strategic input into the running of Old Ford
  4. Help improve services

Residents' Federation members are invited to attend monthly meetings with OFHA middle managers from all customer-facing teams (housing management, refurbishment, and community development and service contracts), to discuss policy issues around service delivery. These could include problems with contractors, service contracts or refurbishment works, a policy not being implemented correctly or a review of how a service could be improved.

It is vital that the Resident Board members keep the Federation updated on current issues. The Chair of the Residents’ Federation will be invited to attend Old Ford Board meetings as an observer.

The Residents' Federation will be invited to be involved in the strategic delivery of housing management through a number of channels. The main lead on the strategic management of this will be via the Board and Neighbourhood Board.
