Domestic Violence
Domestic Violence is an actual or threatened act of harassment, assault or violence (mental, physical or sexual) carried out by a current or former member of a household against another member of the same household.
Domestic Violence can occur within any household and against men or women.
Some examples are:
- Physical abuse – slapping, pushing, kicking, punching and stabbing
- Sexual abuse – rape and non-consensual sexual acts
- Emotional or psychological abuse – intimidation, isolation, verbal abuse, not allowing visitors or destroying belongings.
- Financial abuse or denial of rights – withholding money or medical help
What are Roddons doing about Domestic Violence?
We believe every person has the right to be safe from abuse and fear.
We are working with Cambridgeshire Police and other agencies to prevent and deal with Domestic Violence across the communities we work in.
We will:
- Provide a supportive environment and encourage reporting
- Give information and advice to victims and witnesses
- Take action against perpetrators where possible
- Provide a range of options to support victims
- Liaise with relevant agencies where we are unable to help.
- Always ensure customer safety and confidentiality
- Respect the customers choice
What should I do if I am experiencing Domestic Violence?
You should contact us and the Police straight away.
You can report Domestic Violence to us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 01354 660789 or via the online reporting form.
There are also other people you can talk to, including:

What action will you take?
We will agree an action plan with you including how and when we will communicate with you and how any necessary support will be provided.
Some options that we will consider include:
- Providing you with extra security
- Putting you in contact with other agencies for advice and support
- Taking action against the perpetrator
- Offering you advice on rehousing options
