Managing our estates

As a large social landowner we have a duty to respect and protect the environment and manage and maintain our estates to ensure they are clean, tidy and safe.

We also set aside a large budget every year for estate refurbishments, such as better fencing, more fencing or 'soft' landscaping. We consult local residents on any proposed refurbishments, and welcome suggestions for future work.

We will shortly be updating this page to provide details of:

  • Estate visits and inspections;
  • Dealing with untaxed and abandoned cars;
  • Repairing faulty estate lighting;
  • Making sure timeclocks are accurate;
  • Removing dumped rubbish
  • Investigating reports of abandoned homes;
  • Removing graffiti.

Any problems, such as abandoned cars or grafitti, should be reported to the appropriate Neighbourhood Officer.

Our Neighbourhood Officers carry out formal quarterly estate inspections and residents are welcome to come along. Dates and details of these inspections are advertised in our Home Matters Local, delivered to you every quarter.
