Mark Jones Mark is the Managing Director of Wherry Housing Association. He has over 24 years experience across the social housing sector, working for local authorities, an ALMO and RP’s.
Prior to joining Circle Anglia, Mark worked for Poole Housing Partnership Ltd as Head of Technical Services and Investment. He was heavily involved in an inspection of the ALMO by the Audit Commission in 2004 that awarded a 3 star result. Poole Housing Partnership was then only the second organisation in the south west to achieve a 3 star ‘excellent’ result at that time.
Mark is currently leading our ‘Greening the Box’ project to not only highlight rural fuel poverty but proffer innovative solutions. GTB has received national media coverage in the Ecologist, the Times and Inside Housing as an experiment that could transform social housing.
Mark is a former member of the National Housing Federation - East of England Regional Committee, founding chair of the Norfolk RSL Alliance and current member of the Energy Efficiency Partnership, Managed Housing group. Mark represents the housing association sector at the Norfolk County Strategic Partnership and the Norfolk County Strategic Group –Crime Reduction.
Mark is also a current member of “Retrofit Pioneers” part of the Existing Homes Alliance and the Suffolk Group of Housing Associations.
Mark is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Sue has worked in the affordable housing sector for 24 years, having started her career in the Rents team at Norwich City Council. Since then she has worked as a generic officer at the City Council and the Guinness Partnership and as a generic Housing Manager and interim Head of Housing at Anglia Housing Group. More recently, she was employed as the Assistant Director of Income Management for South Anglia Housing and Wherry Housing Association before taking on the role of Assistant Director of Income and Neighbourhoods at Wherry in June 2009.
Sue completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Housing at Anglia Polytechnic University in 1998 and is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing MCIH). She was invited to join the Housing Quality Network’s Rental Income Excellence Network as an associate in 2008 following two very successful mock inspection results at Circle Anglia. Sue also chairs a regional external benchmarking group.
Sue and her team have responsibility for delivering the following core customer services at Wherry:
Tenancy management, Estate management, ASB Reduction, Lettings and Allocations, Rent and Arrears collection, Debt, money and benefit advice and Sustainable Community activities.

Chris has worked within the social housing sector for over 20 years, most recently as Assistant Director at Somer Community Housing Trust and Head of Housing Property for Swindon Borough Council.
Chris has recently stepped down as Vice Chair of Gloucestershire Housing Association and Board Member of Guinness Hermitage. He has also been a Board Member of a Community Land Trust in Gloucestershire, developing affordable housing on behalf of the local community. Chris gained a degree in building management in 1995, membership of Chartered Institute of Building in 2000 (MCIOB) and membership of Chartered Institute of Housing in 2009 (MCIH).
Chris and his team have responsibility for delivering the following core customer services at Wherry: Maintenance and repairs, decent homes, affordable warmth, aids and adaptations, planned and cyclical maintenance and customer contact services through the contact centre.

Sharon has very recently joined Wherry Housing Association, as the Assistant Director of Business Excellence. Prior to joining Circle Anglia, Sharon worked for approximately 8 years in Local Government, as part of the senior management team for a small Borough Council, leading and implementing customer focussed change. Sharon started her career in the private sector working for a major retail bank carrying out various roles including offering specialist debt counselling and advice and several management roles.
Sharon is a Customer Service professional, being a Companion Member of the Institute of Customer Services and relatively recently completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), both of which required practical demonstration of using her skills and abilities to deliver changes that have led to real improved outcomes for customers.
Sharon will be continuing to drive forward improvements for Wherry Housing Association by engaging with and involving residents and looking for best practice and innovative initiatives that will help to improve the delivery of outcomes for our communities.
