Visiting Our Offices

Wherry Housing Association has two offices. Our head office is in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich. We also have a satellite office in Cambridge.

If you visit our offices we will:

  • Treat you with respect and offer a friendly and polite service
  • Have offices and services available from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Introduce ourselves by name and wear name badges
  • Provide offices that are clean, tidy, comfortable and accessible to people with disabilities
  • Have Minicom and hearing loops available for people with hearing difficulties
  • Provide an area where you can speak to us in private
  • See you at the time of your appointment
  • Arrange for a signer or interpreter if you need one for your appointment (and you tell us beforehand)

How to get to our Norwich Office.

We are based in the St. Andrews Business Park. Once you get onto the Business Park take the first left into Central Avenue, then take the first right into St Andrews Square and our building is the first one on your right hand side, opposite The Terrace Café.

Is parking available?

Yes, we have 4 visitors parking spaces and 3 disabled parking spaces.

Once you are in St Andrews Square and our building is on your right hand side, take the first right into our car park and immediately on your left hand side are 4 visitors parking spaces and 1 disabled space.

The other 2 disabled parking spaces are in the next car park along, which you can get to by taking the second right once you are in St Andrews Square, these 2 spaces are the 4th and 5th bays along on your right and either side of the walk way. If all the visitor spaces are taken, you may park in any vacant space within the 2 car parks, but please let one of the Receptionists know you have done this, so you can obtain a Parking Permit.

Can I take public transport to the office?

Yes, both First Bus & Anglian Buses run bus services to St. Andrews Business Park that stop outside the Business Park on Yarmouth Road. The stop is roughly opposite the Griffin pub.

If you are travelling from Norwich City Centre, you can take the First Bus 15 or 15A from St. Stephens Street, Castle Mall or Thorpe Road, opposite the rail station.

Alternatively, the First Bus 12 also runs from St. Stephens Street, Castle Meadow & Thorpe Road & stops just round the corner opposite the Yarmouth Road post office.

The Anglian Bus A47 runs from the Norwich Bus Station, Castle Meadow & Thorpe Road.

If you are travelling from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, or the A47 corridor you can catch the First Bus 15 from Blofield & Brundall or the First Bus 15A from Lingwood, Blofield & Brundall.
You can also catch the Anglian Bus A47 from Great Yarmouth & Gorleston as it returns to Norwich, it also makes stops in Acle, Blofield & Brundall on route.
From this direction the stop is just before the Griffin pub.

How to find Reception Wherry Reception Desk

There is a pathway from either car park which leads to the front of the building, where automatic doors will take you into the Reception area.

 

Do I need an appointment to come to the office?

No, you are welcome to visit within our opening hours and a member of staff will be on hand to see you, whether you would like to report a repair, speak to someone about your rent, see a member of the Neighbourhood or Property team or use our computers to search for potential mutual exchange matches or bid on empty properties, we will be happy to help.

  • We have a waiting area with toys for children to play with.
  • We have a height adjustable desk allows easy access to the computers, so you can search for mutual exchange matches or bid on properties.

The Cambridge Office at 1 St. Catharine’s Square looks after around 1400 homes and is the local point of contact for our residents who live in rented properties in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough as well as patches in Suffolk and South Lincolnshire.

Our opening times are Monday - Friday 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.

Repairs should be reported direct to the Norwich Office.

How To Find Us:

Our office is located within the Kings Meadow Estate in the North West of Cambridge. A map of the area & driving directions can be found here: Wherry Cambridge Office Location Map.

Once you get to St. Catharine’s Square the office is directly opposite the postbox.

Is parking available?

Parking is available on the road at the front of the building and there also is a small car park at the rear.
There are not any designated disabled spaces, however, parking at the front is only a few meters from the entrance door which is level access.

Can I take public transport to the office?

Yes, there are 3 regular bus routes from the city centre of Cambridge that will take you within a 5 minute walk of our office at St. Catharines Square.

These are the Citi 1 - nearest stop on Mere Way, Citi 8 - nearest stop on Histon Road (Both operated by Stagecoach)

and the 14 run by Whippet Coaches - this stops on the Meadows Estate where our office is situated.

Do I need an appointment to come to the office?

You do not need an appointment to come to visit us at Cambridge as there is always a member of the team available, however, if you wish to see a particular Officer then it is advisable to call us first to check their availability and to book our private meeting room if required.
