Our Neighbourhood Teams regularly inspect all of our communual areas and estates to make sure that they are up to standard. To help them and to ensure that our estates are always being monitored we developed the role of Resident Estate Inspectors (REIs). All of our REIs are given training on how to inspect our estates and are responsible for reporting any hazards or issues to the Neighbourhood Officers.
The training to become an REI comes in two parts. This first is theory based training where they learn about the contract and agreed standards that we expect from our Grounds Maintenance and Cleaning Contractors. To find a copy of these standards click here. Once this theory session has been completed then the REI is invited to accompany their Neighbourhood Officer on an Estate Inspection to learn the practical side of the role. They are also given a handy pack that includes everything to enable them to complete their task.
