Resident Review Day

On Monday 23rd May we held our Resident Review day to not only evaluate our Resident Involvement over the last 12 months but also to thank all those Residents who gave up their time to help us scrutinise, evaluate and improve the services we provide.

WHA REsident REview 3

44 Wherry Residents attended the event to help us evaluate the impact that our Resident Involvement activities have had over the last year. All of the residents invited to the event had been involved with Wherry in one way or another over the last 12 months.

As well as learning about how their involvement had made a difference, the residents also took part in workshops. The workshops helped Wherry to gather the views of the residents as to what the Resident Involvement Team should be focussing on over the next 12 months. The residents were all given a virtual budget of £100,000 and had to allocate the budget to all Resident Involvement activities according to priority.

Quizdom voting buttons
An new and exciting addition to the event this year was the use of voting buttons to capture the views of the residents. This meant that no views were forgotten and the information could be captured quickly and accurately.

Our three most involved residents were given a special thank you for the extensive hours and effort that they had devoted to improving Wherry over the last year. Astra Wright from Roughton, Bradleigh Shorten from Coltishall and Emma Martin from Reepham were all awarded with a certificate of thanks and High Street Vouchers.

WHA Resident Review 2

One resident said about the event "Thanks very much, to the Resident Involvement Team for yesterday's Review Day. I found it informative, constructive and companionable and would like to take the opportunity to place on record my appreciation of the hard work that you all contributed towards making it so."

Another resident said "I particularly liked the interactive element, which fulfilled so much, e.g. information gathering, empowering of individuals, stimulation of reflective thought, enabling free and unfettered involvement, etc. Truly a giant step forward and utilising technology with debate."

All of the information and views gathered from the residents at the event will be collated and helps us to write our 2011 Resident Review document.
