Who is my Resident Representative?

Wherry introduced the Resident Representative role in September 2008 and now 11.1% of all Wherry properties are represented by either a Resident Representative or Residents' Association. A Resident Representative acts as a recognised spokesperson on behalf of residents living in their area and plays a crucial role in getting residents' views heard by Wherry and the Wherry Board.

If your area is not represented and you’re interested in becoming a Resident Representative we can organise for a member of the Resident Involvement team to visit you to talk through the next steps. You will have to decide what area you are happy to represent, for example which street, estate or block of flats, and have the signed support of other residents in the area. This is usually done by Wherry conducting a ballot of your agreed area. We’ll then support you by offering training and providing you with a special pack to help you with your role. Please contact us using the details above.
