Tower Hamlets borough council are hosting a FREE Restart community event which aims to help people learn to repair their own electronics. Restart is a social enterprise which encourages and empowers people to use their electronics longer in order to reduce waste.
Bring along your slow or broken small electrical items such as mobile phones, lap tops and toasters and a Restart volunteer will help attendees learn electrical repair skills, or the skills and signposts to find out more about repairing items.
Cllr Rachel Blake, lead for strategic development and waste said: “This is an exciting opportunity for local residents to repair their everyday items, while learning useful skills for future breakdowns. Come along to the restart party, dig out your slow or broken electrical items, you will be surprised what can be revived. Events like these help us to begin to tackle the e-waste issue in the community”
